Well prepared for tourism, nevertheless it is the Aretini who shape the atmosphere of the city; they proudly sit in front of the bars or under the famous Vasari arcades having their café or aperitivo.
Arezzo is the city of goldsmiths and antique dealers; every first weekend of the month the probably biggest antique market in Tuscany takes place on the Piazza Grande and the famous arcades. Dealers and clients come from everywhere. So why make a long trip if you could rent your holiday villa so close to the event.
The Owner
Nicoletta Lebole opened her firs gallery in Arezzo in 1974, a town with a great bent for antiques but very far from the decorative and artistic world she had decided to cover: ART NOUVEAU and ART DECO in all their forms.
In Rome she inaugurated a shop in 1984 Via del Babuino, the central core of the antiques district of the city. It was not only a geographical turning point: Nicoletta changed the contents, too; she was captured almost merely by painting.
From 1990 on there has benn co-operating with Nicoletta her daughter Barbara, after attending several specialist training courses of History of Arts at Sotheby's in London.
Barbara herself examines the Milleleuropean paintings at the end of XIX century and the beginning of XX century characterized by feminine subjects and anyway representative of the turning point of last century.
Together they have been engaging in a very original aesthetic research, often centred on the theme of the eternal feminine in Art, in its various charming aspects.
The galleries in Arezzo and Rome supply the lovers of this artistic period for a comprehensive survey of applied arts and paintings and organiza thematic shows in recurrent occasions as well.
In their town of origin almost more than one year ago they moved to a larger multipurpose place, characterized by a wide space and by architectural recovery under the banner of Industrial Archeology.
To their antique bases, remaining unchanged in its contents and forms, in its matter and style, here they add a wide selection of furnishings and Contemporary European Design. For Furnishings we mean the house as a whole, ranging from the various fancy goods and collectibles for dressing the table. Their choices are based on research in amateurish crafts or in selected productions where we can still see the presence of an artist, making wide room for the young.
Moreover Nicoletta Lebole in person designs her own collection of eclectics pieces of forniture and collectibles, a summary of all her experiences in this field.
In SPAZIO LEBOLE we can find a corner for children too, where with the same care and attention there are chosen pedagogical items originating from the ideas of great Masters like Bruno Munari.
Finally an area of the Gallery is planned as a glass house where plants and flowers made by various stuffs and of different periods create an ideal garden.
